Dr. Marlin will discuss selected aspects of the Illinois landscape and their implications for long term sustainability. He will draw on experiences and insights as an insect collector for the Illinois Natural History Survey in the late 1960s, non-profit river advocate in the 1970s, Illinois Pollution Control Board member in the 1980s, and his years at the Illinois Sustainable Technology Center. The topics will range from individual yards to regional watersheds.
