John Scott, an Analytical Support Chemist in the Metals Group, has expertise in microwave digestion of water, soil and tissue samples. In addition, he conducts instrumental analysis for metals by ICP/MS, Atomic Absorption Spectrometry and has experience in arsenic speciation.

Education:

B.S. in Chemistry/Environmental Health, Illinois State University, 2000

Instrument Experience:

Perkin-Elmer and VG ICP/MS Systems; Varian Atomic Absorption, HPLC, IC, GC/MS, UV/VIS spectrometer; CEM Mars Microwave Digestion System.
