Michael D. Springman, Environmental Specialist, Manager of the Alton Office of the Illinois Sustainable Technology Center, is responsible for providing Pollution Prevention assistance to industries in the Southern Illinois Area. His P2 focus is on automotive and fleet maintenance, with additional experience with industrial application of membrane technologies, solvent substitution, alternative cleaning technologies and process efficiency.

Mr. Springman has a BS degree in Environmental Biology from Eastern Illinois University. Prior to joining the Waste Management and Research Center, he worked as a Project Manager for a private environmental consultant and as an Officer in the U.S. Army.
