| Metals Group Staff |
ISTC's metals group has expertise in ultratrace elemental analysis, metals speciation analysis, mercury and mercury species and sample preparations in a wide variety of matrices for the above analyses. Near clean room capabilities and low flow rate nebulizers allow us to analyze for metals in exceedingly small samples, such as tissues and mg quantities of proteins. Instrumentation in the group includes two Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometers (ICPMS), a Varian SpectrAA-55B Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (AAS), a pair of Acuflow HPLC pumps for metals speciation research, a PS Analytical atomic fluorescence spectrometer (AFS) for mercury, a CEM and a Milestone microwave for sample digestion.
