Lending Policies

The ISTC Library collection does not circulate. However, anyone may use our materials on site. Library-to-library loans may also be arranged. The Library only loans videos to other libraries when we hold more than one copy. EPA Reports should be available from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency or similar state agencies. Contact the ISTC Library for more information at (217) 333-8957, FAX (217) 333-8944 or e-mail library@istc.illinois.edu

Interlibrary Lending Policy

The Illinois Sustainable Technology Center (ISTC) Library exists primarily to further the mission of the Center and its program staff and does not lend directly to individuals outside ISTC.

In accordance with the Library’s membership in the Lincoln Trail Libraries System (LTLS) and OCLC's LVIS Users Group, the Library honors requests from other libraries when they are made through standard library mechanisms. The library accepts interlibrary loan requests by fax, e-mail, and the OCLC ILL subsystem (OCLC symbol JY1). The Library does not charge for interlibrary loan and requests that libraries who borrow from our collection reciprocate when we request materials.

The ISTC Library will interlibrary loan:

Materials charged out on interlibrary loan are due back within one month of the charge date and may not be renewed.

The ISTC Library will NOT loan:

Photocopies of non-circulating materials may be made at ISTC at the Librarian's discretion.

Any changes to this policy will be made at the discretion of the Librarian in consultation with the Library Committee and with the approval of the Information Services Program Manager and the ISTC Director.
