Laurel Dodgen

Dr. Laurel Dodgen is a postdoctoral research associate at the Illinois Sustainable Technology Center (ISTC) and has been with the Center since September 2014.


  • Ph.D. in Environmental Toxicology (2014) at University of California - Riverside
  • B.S. in Biology with a Chemistry Minor at King College, TN

Current Project

Laurel is working in the lab of Wei Zheng. Her research interests include:

  • environmental fate of pharmaceutical and personal care products (PPCPs) and endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs)
  • treatment lagoon and constructed wetland removal efficacy of PPCP/EDCs
  • transformation products of PPCP/EDCs from environmental processes
