Vinod Patel

Vinod Patel joined ISTC in 2008 and is a Manufacturing Engineer that provides Technical Assistance to companies in Chicago area focusing upon process efficiency, green chemistry, energy efficiency, water conservation, raw material utilization, waste minimization and recycling. He works with companies as a "change agent" promoting a reduction in their environmental footprint while simultaneously improving their competitiveness and profitability.

Vinod has also hands-on experience in research involving: Water Desalination and Water related Research, Membrane technology, Coal combustion byproducts utilization, Coal combustion-generated air pollutants study, Scale-up of processes from lab and bench scale research to commercial scale, Techno-economic analysis of chemical and environmental processes, and Life Cycle Assessment.

Prior to ISTC, Vinod has a broad base of industrial experience spanning more than 25 years in Process and Project Engineering, Research and Development, and Operations Management including process and project development from inception to commissioning, project procurement, manufacturing, process optimization, quality control, quality assurance, waste management, pollution control, maintenance, safety, costing, and administration.
